PLACE
West Curragh, Naul, Co. Dublin, Ireland
CONTEXT
Sportsworks specializes in the construction, design and maintenance of sports fields and advertising in stadiums and other sports fields.
CURRENT APPLICATION /PRODUCT
For painting lines on sports fields, Sportsworks typically uses masking tape to cover the area not to be painted and then applies the paint with a roller. This process takes 8 to 10 hours.
CHALLENGE
To mark approximately 270m of new lines on the 3 badminton courts.
THE ROCOL SOLUTION
Preparation took about an hour: masking the corners and cleaning the surface. Marking all the background lines took about 30 minutes. Waiting for them to dry took another 30 minutes before finally painting the side lines. In total, painting all the lines took 2.5 hours, which is 5.5 hours less than using masking tape and a paint roller—a real time saver!

CUSTOMER REVIEWS
“I’ve used the TraitVite Precision machine on tennis courts, asphalt, artificial turf, and other surfaces. It’s an excellent product for marking lines on hard-surface sports fields, such as indoor sports halls. It comes in a very well-organized carrying case, sets up in minutes, the paint is excellent quality, and lasts at least a year. Furthermore, the line width can be adjusted from 150 mm to 100 mm, and the applicator has spare spray screens for easy cleaning.
I’ve also used the TraitVite Precision applicator for marking outdoor tennis courts. It’s a great tool for this purpose as it allows for easy adjustment of the line width: 150 mm for the baselines and 50 mm for all other lines.” –
