Why galvanize a metal surface?

Corrosion is a natural phenomenon that degrades metals when exposed to air, moisture, or chemical agents. Rust on iron, verdigris on copper, stains on stainless steel… all are visible signs of ongoing oxidation.

Cold galvanizing, also known as cold zinc plating, is a corrosion protection method primarily used on small areas (touch-ups). It allows for the repair of a previously hot-dip galvanized metal part that has been damaged. Although less effective than hot-dip galvanizing, cold galvanizing still offers high-performance and durable corrosion protection.
